This was my first Shania concert, on Dec. 3, 1999. (I'm the one on the right in the first picture.) As you can tell from the second and third pics, our seats were up in the lower level, but we could still see pretty well because the people who were supposed to be in the aisle seats next to us didn't come, so we took their seats. :) That meant we could stand up in the aisle through the whole show and not block anyone's view (well, not that we heard about). I sang into my glowstick the entire time - it was my microphone, LOL. My cousin (the girl on the left in the first picture) and I were both wrapped in red Christmas lights (which they mentioned in the newspaper the next day - go here Orlando concert ), which were really the only lights in the whole arena! I waved to Shania during one of the early songs when she was on our side of the stage, and she smiled and waved back. When she was carried around the floor, I knew what that music meant and flew down the stairs before anyone else. It paid off - I managed to get not only a high-five (which made me start squealing and grinning from ear to ear) but also a wide-eyed look of surprise and delight from Shania that totally said, "Wow! I made someone that happy with just one high five?" I was ecstatic - but it got better. Shania strolled out onto the stage and remarked, "You know, I'd really like to meet someone else in this audience!". We both freaked out and started screaming and jumping up and down, and since we were so visible with the lights, she picked us!!!!!! We got to watch the next song, "Rock This Country!" from the very front (which is where the fourth pic was taken), and then we got our picture taken with Shania. It was the best experience of my life and I'm never going to forget it!
