Shania's Lonely Tour and Possible Parenthood?
11/6/99 - In the latest issue of Redbook magazine Shania revealed world tour depression and she discussed the possiblity of becoming a mother in the near future. During the 14-month world tour Shania spent streches of three to ten weeks away from her husband Mutt Lange which made her feel very "disconnected." She went on to say, "I was really depressed. I felt so isolated, like I was in this little bubble." What did Shania do to get over her lonely times on the road? While in some cities Shania left the arena or pavillion where she was rehearsing and walked the streets alone, blending in with the locals. "I didn't tell anybody where I was going, people didn't have tabs on me, no security," she says. For the upcoming mini-tour this month Shania hopes to bring Mutt along and avoid the loneliness this time around.
Shania also expressed her feelings on all the tabloids reporting a breakup between her and Mutt. The long periods of time Shania and Mutt spend seperated and their 16-year age difference are a couple reasons the tabloids target their relationship. "What bothers me the most is that people take [tabloids] seriously," Shania explains.
When the subject of settling down came up Shania said that her new home in Switzerland is a great place to live and would be a great place to raise a child. "It's certainly something I'm considering," she said addressing the possiblity of becoming a mother. While she is thinking about it she still realizes what's involved in having a child and is concerned that the demands of her career would possibly interfere.
Check out the December issue of Redbook magazine and Shania's cover story, in stores by next week at the latest!

11/24/99 - When the calendar rolls over to 2000 in little more then a month now, Shania's planning her New Year's celebration to be very simple rather then her performing a "millennium concert" or going to a big party. Shania will be at her home in Switzerland for the New Year's. "I'm going to have my family and Mutt's family here," she says, "and we are going to have a campfire in the front yard and toast to the new year. Simple and basic."

Shania, Fans Work to Help Others
11/26/99 - During this Thanksgiving holiday the true sprit of the holidays are shining very bright with the actions of Shania and some of her fans in thier effort to help those less fortunate.
As you may be aware Shania's the kind of person who uses her stardom in a positive way and help those less fortunate. She's most involved in Kids Cafe, a Second Harvest program that feeds hungry children across North America but she doesn't stop there. Most recently, she took 2 front row tickets to her show in Trenton, New Jersey, 2 backstage passes and dinner for two the night of the concert and put it all up for auction on a New Jersey Auction web site. The proceeds made from the auction will go to help flood victims of Hurricane Floyd furthermore proving Shania cares.
Shania's work with charity seems to be contagious as her fans are also joining in the cause to help others. As you may have seen on this web site or others around the Internet the Shania Twain U.S. Online Fan Club held an online fund raiser to raise money for Shania's charity of choice, Second Harvest. $2,248 was the total money raised and will be presented to Shania at tonight's concert in Trenton, New Jersey! Along with Bmac from Bmac's Shania Twain City, Terry Lee from Everything Shania and everyone else who helped spread the word of this fund raiser, I would like thank everyone who helped by donating money for the fund raiser. If you would like more information on Kids Cafe and Second Harvest you can visit their web site which will inform you on how you can help.
