More Details Unveiled
09/01/2000 - Yesterday at a pubic meeting in Timmins more details about the Interpretive Centre were unveiled and the residents of Timmins got to offer some suggestions into the design of the Centre. Hugh Spencer and Barry Crean of Lord Cultural Resources who hosted the public meeting have vast experience in designing exhibits around the world, most notably for the new Guggenheim Museum in Spain and a number of World Fairs.

Even with that kind of experience they were still happy to entertain suggestions. "My favourite of the ideas offered was that if you had kids from a dance or music program, they could make their own video and show it on the Big Show screen" said Spencer.

The music could be created and recorded there, thanks to Shania's insistence that a small recording facility be included to benefit area musicians. Music can be created in the Musical Expression area, one of a series of rooms designed to give people insight into Shania's roots, influences and all aspects of her career.

Starting with the Hall of Inspiration, the most dedicated treatment of her life and career in existence, said Spencer, the circuit culminates with the Big Show, a 12-minute concert experience with a giant multi-screen bank of televisions and a light show. Spencer says the concert will equal any spectacle offered at Disneyland or similar venues. Stay tuned to shania.net for the latest Interpretive Centre news!
