05/06/2001 - From the Timmins Daily Press: Ticket sales for the opening of the Shania Twain Centre will soon be up for grabs.
Just under 4,000 tickets for the opening weekend will be available within the next couple of weeks, said Will Saari, site manager for the Shania Twain Centre and the Timmins Underground Gold Mine Tour.
The centre's opening ceremony, to be held June 30 at 11 a.m., will be outdoors and open to the public. Outdoor activities will also be open to the public.
Tickets for the centre will be $10 each. They will be sold on a time basis in order to avoid lineups for the opening weekend June 30 to July 2.
It's to make sure that everybody who wants to see the centre can see it and to avoid lineups, Saari said.
The tickets haven’t made their way to site yet, but once they arrive, more details will be available.
The location of ticket sales, both locally and for out-of-towners, have yet to be announced, Saari added.
More opening weekend/ticket information will be posted when available.
