2,750 Tickets Remain
06/08/2001 - The Timmins Daily Press reports: "Shania Twain fans who missed out on tickets for the centre's opening weekend in the last two weeks can now come on over to the Timmins Underground Gold Mine Tour. About 1,000 of the 3,750 tickets have been sold so far, said Will Saari, tourism and attraction's manager for the City of Timmins.
"While the tickets haven't sold out yet, the sales have been steady. It's been 10 days and we still have 30 days to go. We're well over one quarter of the way there. Had Twain announced she would attend the opening, tickets probably would have gone faster, he said, but there's still a lot of interest for the opening weekend. Saari said there are a number of large groups coming to the opening. People are coming anyway because they want to be part of the event. It's been really positive."
